Summer Lacrosse & Soccer Camp in Florida

Signature Sports Camps uniquely combines the essence of a traditional summer sleepaway camp with a highly specialized sports training program. On the field, athletes receive tailored instruction exclusively in their chosen sport—lacrosse or soccer—ensuring that lacrosse players focus solely on lacrosse techniques, and soccer players concentrate on developing their soccer skills. This targeted training is delivered by a distinguished team of Headlining Professional Coaches alongside our seasoned Resident Coaches, all of whom have extensive collegiate playing experience and are experts in their respective positions, including specialty roles such as goalie.

To maximize the development of each player, we meticulously organize athletes into groups based on their sport, gender, age, and skill level. This approach guarantees that every athlete benefits from an elite level of training specifically designed to enhance their skill set in their chosen specialty, fostering significant growth in their abilities.

From The Field to The Fun - Summer Camp Activities

On the field, your player is elevating his or her game. While off the field, we participate in camp activities unique to the region. Here are a few of our favorites offered at the Florida Overnight Camp location:

Young girls dancing on the beach at Lacrosse summer camp

Dance Party on the Beach

We close out camp sessions with a dance party on the beach that includes: a DJ, party games, beach games, and more to keep our campers entertained with the background of party music.

Young lacrosse campers roasting marshmallows at a sunset campfire

Spikeball & S’mores

One of our favorite evening activities is the spikeball tournament on the beach. As the sun sets on a great day of camp, we toast marshmallows, compete in the spikeball tournament, and enjoy other fun beach games.

A group of boys at lacrosse camp enjoying swimming pool time during a break

Pool Time

Okay it’s Florida in July… we need to keep our campers cool! We jump in the pool at least once a day to cool off in between sessions on the field.

A young boy wearing a yellow life jacket in a kayak on the lake

Boating on the Gulf of Mexico

Eckerd College has a state-of-the-art boat house that gives our campers access to paddleboarding, kayaking, and even sailing instructors.

Movie Night

We kick our first day of camp off with a movie night in the auditorium. We chose a sport-oriented movie that campers of all ages love.

Boys playing a game of kickball on a field at summer camp

Camp Kickball & Shark Tank

At each Signature Sports Camp location, our campers love camp-wide kickball and Shark Tank games. With a bunch of competitors (both counselors and campers), these games get INTENSE!

FAQ’s About The FL Overnight Camp Experience

How many Campers attend the Signature Florida Overnight Camp?

We cap this camp at 125 campers per session before waitlisting campers. Typically this camp does fill up, so we recommend locking in your spot for the upcoming summer as soon as possible.

Do I need lacrosse or soccer experience to sign up?

Signature Sports Lacrosse Camps have programs created for all experience levels. If you are new to the sport, we will teach you the basics and progress you with your own group of similar players.

If you are an advanced player looking to be challenged- we also have the programming for you and will group you with similar players to your skill set.

Can I sign up for both lacrosse and soccer?

Yes! When you register, you will be asked to select Lacrosse Camp, Soccer Camp, or a hybrid. Hybrid campers go to one session of lacrosse and one session of soccer camp each day.

What level is the coaching? I have an advanced player…

All of our coaches play or have played at the Collegiate level and are experts in their positions. We have a player development model that is specifically designed to advance players in a camp setting and work with the coaches in coach orientation to design a thoughtful curriculum based on what they bring to the table. We employ coaches of all positions, even specialty positions like goalie. Then when we hit the field, we group players by skill and age so they are with similar players who will challenge each other and raise the level of play.

Can I join as a commuter if I live local?

Absolutely! We offer 30% off for our commuters. Commuter camp includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the full experience (minus the bunking) that overnight camp offers. Commuters are dropped off before breakfast at 8:30AM, and are picked up after the evening activity at 9PM.

Use the discount code COMMUTER at registration to be prorated for the commuter experience and automatically be placed in the commuter program.

Do you offer Sibling or Group Discounts?

When you register siblings, we offer a 10% discount to each registration. This discount is automatically applied at Registration.

For groups or team discounts, we offer $150 off per camper for groups of 3+ and $250 off per camper for groups of 5+. Please reach out to director@overnightsportscamps.com to generate your team or group discount.

What if I have a picky eater or food restrictions?

We note food and dietary restrictions at registration and work with the campus dining team to ensure that all food is labeled. Additionally, we ensure that campers with food restrictions have options to select from that match their diet. For our picky eaters, campus dining teams present multiple options for each pallet. In a typical dinner, campers have access to 1-2 variations of a full meal (comprised of protein, veggies, and grains), and then supplemental options like pizza, pasta, chicken nuggets, etc.

What’s the Phone Policy at Camp?

We limit phone and technology access, but we do not restrict it. Campers may have their phones in their dorms and before bed. Campers are asked not to bring their phones to activities, meals, or on the field. For the full camp experience, we recommend campers do not bring phones (and they are always able to set up a Facetime home on a counselor’s phone). We actually see the more access the camper has to a phone, the worse the homesick feeling is.
