Overnight Soccer Camps: Train, Compete, and Make Memories
Experience the ultimate soccer camp– by day, soccer players are trained by positional experts, professional players, and college coaches. By night, athletes get the full “sleepaway camp” experience. Here at Signature Sports Camps, the soccer camp is open to boys and girls ages 8-17. On the field, athletes are grouped by age and skill level to experience programming geared specifically for their experience level. Each day soccer players can expect intense, twice-daily training sessions, with each session building on the last! Instruction covers position-specific skills, tactical understanding, fundamental drills, and so much more.
Train with Top Coaches at Our Florida Soccer Camps
Signature’s Soccer Partnership with Eckerd College
We partner with the Eckerd College Soccer program to deliver an amazing on-field experience for each soccer player. Get coached under the direction of Eckerd’s Head Coach, Luke Sheekey, who has coached at the college level for over 10 years, has experience coaching at the professional level, and set records in points when he was actually playing at Eckerd himself.
2024 Professional Soccer Coaching
Nicky Law
Coach Nicky Law kickstarted our soccer program as our first-ever Professional Soccer Headliner in 2024. Campers were awestruck by Nicky’s experience, including a 15+ year career as an English Professional Footballer. His career includes playing in the Premier League for the Sheffield United, Bradford City, Rotherham United, and the Rangers. In 2021 Law joined the USL Championship with Indy Eleven before transferring to the Tampa Bay Rowdies. In 2023, Nicky Law transferred from the field to the coaching sideline as the Rowdies’ interim head coach, and now has a permanent position as an assistant coach for the Rowdies.
The campers loved learning from this successful midfielder at Signature Sports Camps. They particularly loved their time in small group sessions with him and asking him all sorts of questions in the Q&A.
Skills and Drills: Train for Every Aspect of the Game
So what should soccer players expect to learn on the field? On the first day, campers are assessed and placed in a field group that best matches their skill level (and don’t worry, we can keep teammates and friends together!). Here’s a snapshot of a few concepts you’ll work on at camp. Each drill or game is adjusted to suit the group’s skill level, push the pace, and bring athletes out of their comfort zones.
Skill Development
Let’s start with the fundamentals and progress from there. Coaches start by incorporating drills around ball control, passing/receiving, and shooting/finishing. Coaches are looking for opportunities to critique form and make each athlete a cleaner player with their fundamentals. From there, we progress to position-specific training and gameplay.
Position-Specific Training
After we have the fundamentals down, we will move into drills that focus on position skills and IQ. Defensive skills include tackling, positioning, and marking techniques. On the offensive side of the ball, players can expect transition work, how to control the pace of play, and spacing tactics. Now, we can’t forget about our goalkeepers, who have their own programming like shot-stopping, positioning, and working on their reflexes!
Speed & Agility Training
We incorporate endurance, speed, agility, and stability training into each drill on the field, but also cut out some dedicated time for challenges and team bonding that encourage these pillars of the sport. Now don’t forget… it’s camp, so we make it fun! Often, athletes don’t realize they are conditioning until the game is already over!
Small-sided Game Play & Tactics
We use small-sided play like 3v3 or 5v5 to establish plays and strategies that increase each athlete’s game IQ. Each afternoon (in the peak hours of the sun), we take it to the Go Pavillion (a covered court) for Futsal games. Campers love shaking it up with this version of soccer while staying out of the sun at the hottest part of the day!
Scrimmaging
Who doesn’t love scrimmaging?! After critiquing the fundamentals, establishing positional skills, and implementing tactics through small-sided game play, we carve out some time for campers to package all of these new skills into live scrimmages. Athletes love to play against their new friends, form teams, and coaches often hop right in and play too!
3v3 Tournament
Speaking of coaches hopping in… we always end camp with our 3v3 tournament! Coaches draft their teams on the last night of camp (a great motivator for campers on the field – they want to show off their new skills so they get drafted by their favorite coach!), and hop right in to play with this team in the end-of-camp tournament. Teams get a few pool games then advance to a single-elimination bracket to crown a champion!

Soccer Camp FAQs: Everything You Need to Know
We combine focused soccer instruction on the field with the traditional overnight summer camp experience. In between soccer sessions, campers get the opportunity to participate in excursions like paddle boarding through the mangroves, camp games, pool time, and competitions. Campers love the dorm life, which is backed by American Camp Association-accredited safety standards.
Following our evaluation session, we place players in groups that best match their skill level. We see soccer players with extensive national club experience register for camp, as well as those newer to the game with just a season under their belt. Our skill-based grouping allows each group to progress in a way that meets their unique needs.
Our resident coaches bring collegiate soccer experience from the DI, DII, DIII, NAIA, and Club levels. They’re drawn to Signature Sports Camps for our commitment to detailed practice planning, clear communication, and the balance we strike between intensive soccer training and traditional camp activities. Each coach is dedicated to creating a positive, mission-driven environment for every camper.
