Signature Sports Camps is thrilled to announce the addition of Field Hockey to our sports lineup at the New York Overnight Camp location on Keuka Lake! As pioneers in merging the traditional overnight summer camp vibe with elite sports training, we’re extending our expertise beyond Lacrosse to include field hockey. This summer, in partnership with the Keuka College Field Hockey Coaching Staff, Team USA & International Players, and our Resident Coaches—who boast extensive college playing and Nexus coaching experience—we’re launching a field hockey training program designed to elevate athletes’ skills and confidence on and off the field.
So what makes Signature’s Field Hockey Overnight Camp stand apart from the rest?
Professional Field Hockey Coaching
Meet one of our 2024 Headlining Professional Athletes: Julianna Tornetta. Julianna’s collegiate playing experience started at Princeton University, where she was named an NFHCA All-American in 2019 and 2018. Also at Princeton, Julianna was named to the NFHCA All-Tournament Team in both of those seasons and helped the Tigers to back-to-back Final Fours and an appearance in the national title game. After her stint at Princeton, Julianna spent her 5th year of eligibility at the University of Maryland.
In the Spring of 2021, Julianna was invited to join the USA Women’s National Squad in Belgium and England to compete in the FIH Hockey Pro League. She also played in USA National Team camps from 2012-17, and was a member of the U-21, U-19, U-17 National Squads. Julianna also played in the AAU Junior Olympics and USA Futures Elite 2012-15.
All of this to say: we are pretty excited to have Julianna join us as a Headling Pro Field Hockey Coach this August before she heads out to Amsterdam to continue her Professional run.
Resident Field Hockey Coaches
Our Resident Coaches, with their collegiate playing backgrounds and coaching experiences at various levels (including Nexus USA Field Hockey), are hand-selected to represent each position and are integral to our camp. They not only provide top-notch field hockey training but also become role models, living in the dorms with campers and actively participating in both on-field and off-field activities.
Like all Signature Coaches, our Resident Coaches are activators. This means that on the field, they get into the drills, demonstrate live, tweak constantly, and inspire our campers. Off the field, they are just as competitive. From Camp Kickball to Shark Tank, our coaches are right in the mix and engaging with our athletes.
Focused Technical Skill Building
So you’ve learned about who is leading your athlete on the field, but what skills will your camper be walking away with? At Signature, we do a lot of our on-field programming in stations. Stations offer us the opportunity to divide our athletes into groups of like age and skill and expose them to field hockey training from all of our specialized coaches. This allows us to welcome players of all levels while keeping groups competitive.

True to our signature style, we complement rigorous field hockey training with adventure and traditional camp activities. From watersports on Keuka Lake to excursions to local natural attractions, our campers enjoy a well-rounded experience that blends athletic development with the joys of summer camp.
