Meet Signature Sports Camps’ 2025 Headlining Professional Athletes

Share this post:

A key pillar that sets Signature Sports Camps apart from the rest is our camp coaches. Our Resident Coaches are collegiate players, college coaches, and alumni who specialize in their respective sport (soccer, lacrosse, or field hockey). These coaches are mentors on and off the field, doubling as camp counselors throughout the session. In addition to Resident Coaches, we also integrate Headlining Professional Athletes into our camp experience. Campers actually get to learn from the Pros that they watch on ESPN. These Professional Athletes Headline each session, providing that spice that inspires, excites, and educates our campers like never before. We hand-select these Professional Athletes to ensure they aren’t just relevant and exciting, but will also engage with the kids and take the extra minute to make each camper feel special. So without further ado, let’s meet the Professional Athletes who are Headlining the 2025 overnight sports camps at Signature:

The Florida Location: Overnight Sports Camps Offered for Lacrosse & Soccer

Laurence Wyke – Tampa Bay Rowdies Star Midfielder & Defender

Headliner for the Overnight Soccer Camp at Florida’s Session I.

Laurence Wyke, Professional Soccer Player on the field after a goal with the Atlanta United.Laurence Wyke was born in England and began his early career playing for Manchester United Academy before coming to the States to study and continue his career. He first joined the United Soccer League (USL) in 2019, before getting promoted to the Major League Soccer (MLS) after just a year in the league. In 2020, Wyke signed with the Atlanta United FC. before caming down to Tampa to join the Tampa Bay Rowdies in 2021, where he was repositioned to defense. In between his start with the Rowdies and today, he played for Major League Soccer team Nashville SC and Phoenix Rising FC., eventually ending up back in Tampa with the Rowdies where he plays currently.

The best part about training with Wyke is his experience in multiple positions and the stories he brings about breaking through adversity and owning your role on each team you play for.

In her tenure at Northwestern, Izzy also received the Big Ten Conference Freshman of the Year honors, Big Ten Attacker of the Year, First-Team All-American honors, and the Honda Sports Award as the U.S’s Best Collegiate Lacrosse Player. If that wasn’t enough she was called up to play at the U19 World Lacrosse Championships for Team USA in 2019 where she scored three goals and was named player of the match. That way, each camper gets to see how making it to the pros looks pretty similar to the journey they are on. The best part of having our Professional Athletes at camp is that campers realize that it’s not so crazy to dream of being a professional in their sport… these Pros are just like you and me!
